OMB valves s.p.a. will supply trunnion mounted and floating ball valves to Tecnicas Reunidas for the Sahil and Shah field development project owned by Abu Dhabi's upstream arm, Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco). The contract is part of two Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) packages for the development of its Sahil, Asab and Shah Fields (SAS) awarded by ADCO at the beginning of 2009.
Tecnicas Reunidas's scope of work includes development of detailed engineering, equipment and materials supply, and construction for Sahil and Shah expanded development project, which is scheduled for completion in 2012.
Tecnicas' involvement in the project is concentrated mainly on oil production flow lines, primary separation through central and satellite degassing facilities, gas compression, transfer lines, oil pumping facilities, main oil pipelines, and produced water handling.
OMB scope of supply includes fully forged nickel alloys, superduplex and stainless steel trunnion mounted ball valves up to 2500 class, metal seated ball valves and small size floating ball valves in all materials.
OMB Valves is already involved in the project supplying forged steel valves to Petrofac for the Asab Field Development portion.
